Calculus
This course is designed to provide an introduction into fundamental topics including limits, derivatives, differentiation and integration of algebraic, trigonometric, and transcendental functions. In addition verbal, numeric, analytic and graphical approaches will be demonstrated to give students the desired tools to become proficient in problem solving.
Calculus is an important building block in the education of any professional who uses quantitative analysis (e.g., engineers, scientists, economists, mathematicians, etc.). It introduces and develops the mathematical skills required for analyzing change and creating mathematical models that imitate real-life situations. The general goals of this calculus course are to expand the students' knowledge of calculus, and to use the calculus environment to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Bottle Project
In this project, we were given a bottle that we had to redesign using Calculus principles. We did this by first using a piecewise function to model the new design of the bottle. Once we found that equation, we took the integral of the equation, to find the volume of the bottle once it had been rotated around the x-axis to become a 3-D object. This project required that the new bottle was similar in volume to that of the old, which was very challenging to obtain. Once we did this using math, we had to create the bottle in CAD.Overall, this was probably the most rigorous math project I've ever completed.
